Week of June 5th.

At the beginning of the week we did nothing. We were playing around with a blooper and got an idea for a film. Then we started to actually do something. On Tuesday we recorded, and wednesday we also recorded as well. Thursday I edited a lot of the film and today we will finish the film.

Week of May 8

I just have been working on my film. I have been editing my titles and the credits. That's the biggest struggle I have right now because I honestly don't really know how to make it look decent. Also I have been gaining ideas on my next film which most likely will be a comedy.

an inconvenient truth

This documentary was about how global warming is affecting the whole world. Over time global warming has gotten so bad that who knows what could happen in a few years. Al Gore brings in facts and shows the viewers that if we do not act now the situation will only get worse and worse. This honestly just piled on to the more involved I should feel when it comes to trying to save the planet. After all the documentaries that we have watched in this class about global warming it has made me want to actually do something about it. Something shocking that I found out was that if people do not help as much as we need Florida will soon go under the water and never be seen again. That's honestly something scary to think about especially because of personal experience in visiting Florida. I would hate to see it go. Also any other state or city that borders the oceans could be affected.

week of may 1

We finished our film! We finally put back together and we turned in the movie. Also I began filming and editing my film.

Week of April 24

This week EVERYTHING DELETED! So we had to connect everything back. We also had to get files from the trash and edit everything all over again. 

Week od April 13-17

This week I brought in the film that I had taken over the weekend. It was of my grandparents and my uncles that wanted to participate in the film. Also We just edited all the parts that we didn't want in the film. We are almost done with our film all we have to do is finish inputing the songs and making some final touches with the subtitles.

April 6-10

This week we were finalizing the edits that we are putting into the film. There is a lot of film that we need to edit and we wanted to choose the right shots that we wanted so that's been taking some time. Also we haven't been able to decide on what songs we want to put for the part of Lizzette's sister and brother in law so we all did some research on what we wanted. Since we all have different styles in music we can't decide. Today we will be editing more and over the weekend we will have more film to import.

3/30-4/3

 What we got done this week included filming, music, and editing. I filmed my family on Sunday, and Steven recorded his family on Wednesday. We were able to edit the parts that we wanted from my family members and also the family of Steven. We also looked for music that we were going to use for the whole movie. The songs we chose came from spanish genres and english. I don't remember the names of the songs so I can't include them. Also I am planning to take out a camera for this weekend. 

March 23-27, 2015

The members in my production company are Esteban, Karla, Lizzette, Steven, and Vanessa. This past week we just brainstormed ideas about what exactly we were going to ask the people that we interview. We came up certain questions that were going to be distinguished for couples and single people. We also came up for questions that were directed to the little kids that we will be asking as well. Also we decided what days we were going to film and what locations. I took the camera and started recording some footage and will keep recording this weekend. Also we looked for different songs to include in the movie. Today we will decide who else will take the camera and also if we will get together on a certain day.

What music means to me

Music is a very important aspect of my life. I am able to be myself whenever I listen to my favorite artist, or my favorite song. It also allows me to escape the world that I'm in and enter a world that only focuses on what I'm feeling with that song. Also I find I can also express myself when I am singing, or preforming. I get this rush when I am able to meet some notes of the song, and I have fun being able to express how I want to in my facials. I listen to a broad genre of music. I ranges from pop to Mexican to rock to rap and even some country music. I mainly only listen to pop and mexican tho. Some of my favorite artists include Beyonce, Maroon 5, The Weeknd, and JCole. Music is even better when it is live because you're being able to see what the artist is feeling that day. The sound is more genuine, and the experience beats hearing he song on any types of headphones. Also the sound of the fans and the environment is much better. 

Problems and Struggles

Being in high school is a tough time for many. It's also a confusing time that a lot of students have to go through. Many don't know what to do after high school, they want to impress their friends, or they push themselves to limits that others can't go to in order to be the top of their class. But the problems here in Bell High School range much more than social issues. Being in a low income community many students don't worry about wearing the best brands or even showing up to school looking "decent". They worry about where their next meal is coming from, where they're going to stay tonight, or even how are they going to get money to buy certain necessities. Everyone has a struggle whether they admit it or not, some are just more intense then others. I think that the biggest problem here in Bell High is that no one knows how to take situations seriously. It's sad to say that a large population has either been through a bad experience more than once, or knows about how it goes down. They're used to it so when it happens again they choose to either make fun of it, or let it go. Crime is high in this area, and that's one of the biggest problems that effects this school. There is also a big issue in judgement. Many high school kids are judged every day on what they wear and how they act. No one is safe from not being judged. Jealousy rules, and many people have gotten hurt because of it. It's sad to think that there probably won't be one day where everyone feels safe, doesn't feel judged, and/or can't feel reassured. 

The Most Interesting Person in the World!

The most interesting person in the world would be my uncle Jr. He's around 35 years old so you would expect him to have his life together, but he doesn't. He still is a little kid at heart and in person. We can talk to each-other for days and he can tell me stories and stories about when he was younger. They're all really interesting, and funny as well. But just because he's funny and amusing doesn't mean that his childlike features don't get annoying. Sometimes he can exaggerate when he speaks, but at least it makes for a better story. He can get all the family seated and listening to him, even more when we are in public. He has many friends which is due to his easy going ways. Once he told me a story about how him and his friends went to Paramount Swap-meet at night. Now you need to know that this place is closed at night, so what would he be doing there? He had token about 10 bottles of soap, and with his friends dumped the soap into the fountain next to the swap-meet! That was there definition of a "senior prank", even-though it wasn't even in the same city in which they actually went to school in. He's also met many famous people and is always telling me about their adventures together. 

My Anti-Drug

Many people today turn to drugs so that they don't have to deal with anything that's happening in their own world. Personally, I would never take that route and I have to owe it to my anti-drug. That would be my family. I am very close to my family and I owe it to them for giving me support in any situation that I'm in. I can always be with them and have a good time and just get my mind off of things. I have gained that connection with them that allows me to trust them and to follow what they say. Also all my life I was guided in the anit-drug path. My family never exposed me to anything that might scar me, and they never supported the thought of drugs. Even my extended family. If someone came into conflict with something we were always there to support them and be their anti-drug. There are also other things that allow me to resist drugs such as the sport I play(soccer), baseball games,  my phone, and my youth group.
